Rev. Kaitlyn Ostrander is originally from Brighton, Ontario, and she has been following her call toward Ministry since she was a 16-year-old youth leader at Trinity-St. Andrew’s United Church, in Brighton. Since then, she has followed her call into ministry with the United Church of Canada and serves in many ways including as a commissioner for General Council, an Elder on the Council of Elders with East Central Ontario Regional Council and has answered a call to serve in Ministry with the community of Pickering Village United Church. She continues to journey with God, following the Spirit’s calling voice, and upholding the ministry of Jesus Christ.

Ms. Hahn is an active member of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers Association where she served as Vice President of the Ajax Pickering branch for many years. She maintains active participation and music leadership in several local churches. Under her guidance, many concerts have been organized and she volunteers as an accompanist for a number of choirs. Ms. Hahn is currently the Music Director at Pickering Village United Church, Pickering, Ontario. She lives in Mississauga with her husband Richard and they are busy parents of 3 children. She enjoys gardening, playing badminton and going for walks with her 15 year-old daughter and their dog Shahla.

Our Office Administrator is Kimberly Dunlop. She has years of experience as both a copy editor and proofreader for various magazines, as well as a customer-service background. She lives in the Durham Region with her husband and two sons and began working at Pickering Village United Church in April 2024.

For Anita Heeschen, the past 10 years, this church has been more than just a place of worship—it has been a family. The kindness, love, and warmth of everyone here make it a true home. I’m more than grateful to be part of such a welcoming and faith-filled community where God’s presence is felt in every smile and handshake.
It has also been a blessing to serve by volunteering to help keep our church clean and welcoming. Contributing to the upkeep of God’s house fills me with joy, knowing that a clean and beautiful space allows everyone to worship in comfort and peace.
