UCW – United Church Women
Our mission is to love God; foster Christian commitment, faithfulness and spirituality; and promote respect for all God’s creation.
We meet once a month for fellowship spirituality and a variety of informational topics that the group enjoys. At Pickering Village United Church we are very involved in many events that happen throughout the year. Click on links below for information on individual activities:
- Christmas Market
- Dinner fundraisers
- Frozen meal entrees for sale
- Prayer shawl ministry
- Paper crafting – providing custom products for every occasion
- Creating a variety of skilled craft products that are used to support our local community and are also for sale at our annual Christmas Market
- Support of various charity organizations, both local and worldwide
The group is endeavouring to provide further support for community outreach where there is a very clear need. It is an evolving project and will continue as we undertake to be a small part of the solution.
We get together the first Wednesday evening of every month, except for January and February.
